Ingredient:
- Yellow orange peel: 300g (4-5 oranges)
- Sugar: 150g
- Honey: 100g
- Salt: 1 teaspoon
Step 1: Preliminary processing
- Oranges are washed, peeled, peeled and peeled, cut into pieces about 1cm long and thick.
- Put the orange peels in a pot of water, boil on the stove for about 2-3 minutes and then drain the water (repeated boiling 2-3 times)
Step 2: Soak the orange peel with dilute salt water for about 8-10 hours (or overnight) and then wash it with cold water to make the orange peel less salty.
Step 3: Put orange peel in a pot, mix well with sugar and honey. Stir well and leave until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Step 4: Heat the marinated orange peel with sugar and honey on a low heat, stirring gently. Boil until the sugar water dries up and the orange peel is bright yellow, then turn off the heat.
Step 5:
- Arrange the orange peels on the griddle and place in the fryer (put an oil tray below to catch the sugar juices coming out of the orange peel).
- Turn on the fryer and set the temperature to 100 degrees C to dry for 15 minutes. Observe to adjust the appropriate time.
Step 6: When done, you can roll over the orange peel with another layer of sugar and store it in a glass jar.
