Ingredients for pie crust

  • Plain Flour: 170gr
  • Unsalted butter: 100g
  • Salt: 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar: 1 teaspoon
  • Water

Ingredients for the cake

  • Red apple: 400g
  • Brown sugar: 50g
  • Salt: 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice: 10ml
  • Cinnamon powder: 3g
  • Unsalted Butter: 20g
  • Wheat flour: 5g

 

Step 1: Make the apple pie crust

  • Put all the ingredients for the pie crust in a bowl, mix well until the mixture is smooth
  • Cover with cling film and refrigerate for about 2 hours
  • Take 2/3 of the dough that has rested after 2 hours and roll it out about 3mm to make the crust. The rest of the dough continues to be refrigerated
  • The dough has just been flattened into the mold and then put in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to make the cake base harder

Step 2: Make the apple pie

  • Apples, washed and sliced thin
  • Mix apples with brown sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon powder, salt and leave for 30 minutes to absorb. Then filter the water and the apples separately
  • Slug the separated apple juice mixture with unsalted butter and flour until the mixture thickens

Step 3: Shape the apple pie in the mold before baking

  • Pour the apple juice mixture into the original sliced apple to get a thick cake mixture
  • Put the entire cake into the mold with the cake base
  • The remaining 1/3 of the crust dough is flattened and cut into long strands, which can be arranged in a basket form to overlap the filling that has just been sprinkled in the mold.

Step 4: Bake the apple pie

  • Spread a thin layer of butter on the top of the cake before baking for a more beautiful golden color
  • Put the cake mold in the oven, choose TOAST mode, adjust 180 degrees Celsius and 40 minutes to bake (observe the color of the cake to adjust the temperature and time accordingly)
